The Fantastic Cave Pit in LaFayette, Georgia, has a maximum height of 179 meters, which makes it the largest in the U.S.A.  You can go down in rappel, passing near the layers of rocks, which are millions of years old. A stone thrown from the top reaches the bottom in about eight seconds.

Ellison’s Cave is located in the northwest Georgia and is indeed one of the most spectacular caves of the world. It features a depth of 1,063 feet and a length of 64,030 feet, being the twelfth deepest and fifty-second longest cave in the United States of America.

The Fantastic Pit in Ellison’s Cave is big enough to hold the Washington Monument, so maybe now you have a clearer idea about its depth.

This amazing cave is not recommended for those who are afraid of height and also for those who are afraid of the dark.  This wonder of nature might be extremely beauty but when it comes to phobias, the best thing to do is to admire it in the pictures in front of the computer.

As many other natural caves in this world, this one is also special and extremely beautiful and stirs the interest of those who are curious of finding new things about it.

This cave is a proof that time and nature makes everything possible and turn darken places into natural wonders that make people want to discover them.

Like all the caves in this world, the Fantastic Cave Pit is the result of some processes, the most important one being the dissolution of rocks by the waters that penetrate, become stagnant and circulate into a limestone massif and after this dissolution results the underground network, which is currently called cave.

This spectacular cave should not be missed because it is indeed one of the places you should see in this life.
